Following a stellar rookie campaign, Latvian racer Patricija Stalidzane will be back in the all-electric NXT Gen Cup for the 2025 season, having impressed with great battles and a historic first podium finish in 2024.

Latvian racer Patricija Stalidzane is set to return to the NXT Gen Cup in 2025, aiming to continue the remarkable progress made in her rookie season last year, when she tackled an all-electric series for the first time, learning the car and the format, yet impressing for her performance.
“I think last year was quite fun and eventful", Patricja commented. "It was challenging to learn the car, being electric and front-wheel drive, as well as the small tweaks and strategic thinking that come with push-to-pass and no ABS."
The fully electric NXT Gen Cup has delivered exciting racing and has been a great platform for young drivers for the past two years, which also saw a significant number of female entries.
Launched in 2023, Next Gen Cup expanded internationally with races in Oschersleben and at the Nürburgring as part of the DTM support package in 2024. The continued partnership with the popular GT3 championship in 2025 will ensure the development of the platform, with an increasing number of young drivers entering the electric touring car championship as a springboard for either electric or other forms of closed-cockpit racing.
Patricija Stalidzane made history in 2024 as she scored a second place at Sachsenring and became the first ever female driver to finish on the podium in the series. She completed her rookie campaign with twelve top-ten finishes, including five top-five results. Having collected valuable knowledge in 2024, Stalidzane aims higher for 2025 - with a first victory certainly a realistic goal.
"I was surprised by how truly equal the cars were, which made for incredibly close racing and intense battles every weekend", she continued. "I really enjoyed learning last year, and now I’m back to put that experience into practice and go for the win this season."
The 22 year old Latvian is no motorsport rookie; after a successful karting career, she made her racecar debut in 2018 in the Renault Clio Cup Central Europe, before making a leap forward in 2019 as she tackled the highly competitive ADAC GT4 Germany. She returned to the GT4 series in 2020 for a partial campaign.
On her return to competitions in 2024, Stalidzane has also contested a dual program in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where she is part of the all-female Girls Only squad.
