On February 7th, OTG Motor Sports and LM Corsa held a press conference detailing their 2025 plans, in which, Miki Onaga was named as one of their drivers for both the F4 Japanese Championship and TGR 86/BRZ Cup.

"I am very happy to have been given this wonderful opportunity," Onaga commented.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has continued to support me until this opportunity was given to me."

Onaga burst onto the spotlight in 2019 by winning on her Kyojo Cup debut and finishing runner-up by one point to Hinako Muramatsu despite missing the opening round of the season.

Over the next two seasons, Onaga won four of the eight races contested but ended runner-up in the standings on both occasions, to Ai Miura in 2020 and Shion Tsujimoto in 2021. Fortunes changed in 2022, when she won 75% of the races contested, clinching her maiden Kyojo Cup title at the final round of the season by 3.5 points over TCR Japan champion Anna Inotsume.

After finishing runner-up in Kyojo Cup in 2023, Onaga made her debut overseas in 2024 alongside her Kyojo Cup campaign, racing on a part-time basis in the Toyota GR Cup North America, scoring a best finish of 19th at Barber Motorsports Park.

In Kyojo Cup she won twice and never finished lower than fifth in the first five races, but a lock-up in the opening lap of the finale saw her drop out of the points as Aimi Saito took the 2024 title.

Whilst Onaga is heading into her first season of F4 machinery in a double program where she will also contest Kyojo Cup for Team KCMG, she is no stranger to the TGR 86/BRZ Cup, having competed there in the past two seasons, where she scored a best result of 20th, twice, last season.

The 2025 F4 Japanese Championship is scheduled to start at Fuji Speedway on May 3-4, while the 2025 TGR 86/BRZ Cup is set to start at Autopolis on April 6.
