Iron Dame and Porsche factory driver Michelle Gatting is set to make her Nürburgring Nordschleife debut at the upcoming NLS2 in a Porsche Cayman CS GT4, targeting the permit for a potential GT3 debut at the Green Hell.

Michelle Gatting is set to make her debut at the Green Hell, entering the NLS2 round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series on April 26th, aboard the #633 Porsche Cayman CS as she begins the process to obtain her Nordschleife permit.
The Danish gold-rated driver was named a Porsche official driver for 2025, as part of the expanded collaboration between the German manufacturer and the Iron Dames project.
Gatting, who has raced for the groundbreaking all-female team since its inception at the end of 2018, has established herself as one of the leading drivers in sportscar racing. With the support of Porsche, she will now take the first step toward achieving one of her goals: competing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in GT3 machinery.
Arguably the most demanding racetrack in the world, the Nordschleife requires every driver to obtain a special permit to compete. Gatting will take her first competitive laps at the circuit in the Cayman CS GT4 machine, gaining essential experience before progressing to higher categories.
A standout karting talent, Gatting transitioned to race cars in 2011, competing in Formula Ford Denmark. She later joined the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup, before stepping up to the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in 2014. In subsequent seasons, she competed on home soil in the Thundersport Championship and Danish Supertourisme, before securing a seat with the newly formed Iron Dames team.
As part of the all-female squad, Michelle has competed in the European Le Mans Series, Le Mans Cup, Ferrari Challenge—where she won the title in 2021—FIA WEC, GT World Challenge Europe, Italian GT, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, IMSA SportsCar Championship, and Asian Le Mans Series. She was part of the line-up that won the Gold class at the 2022 24 Hours of Spa and has claimed three race victories in ELMS and one in the FIA WEC. Gatting has also entered six editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a best finish of fourth, as well as two 24 Hours of Daytona starts.
With such an accomplished résumé, Gatting will now aim to add the 24 Hours of Nürburgring to her list of achievements—potentially as early as 2026.
