Austrian racing driver Laura Kraihamer is set to return to the GT2 European Series, rejoining the grid with RTR Projects for the season opener at Circuit Paul Ricard. She will share the #89 KTM X-Bow GT2 with Slovak racer Mato Homola in the ProAm class.

Kraihamer enjoyed a strong campaign in the 2024 GT2 European Championship, where she secured top-five finishes at Misano and achieved her first podium in the series with a second-place finish at Monza—ultimately placing sixth in the championship standings. Known for her determination and consistent pace, Laura's result at Monza was a deserved highlight following some earlier setbacks in the season.

A veteran in KTM machinery, Kraihamer first rose through the ranks of the KTM X-BOW Battle and later became a factory driver for KTM, achieving notable success including a ADAC GT4 Germany race win in 2019 and a class victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Her experience also spans the Creventic 24H Series, where she collected a class win at the 24 Hours of Barcelona, and a season in the DTM Trophy in 2021.

Recently classified as a FIA Bronze driver, potentially opening new opportunities for her career in GT racing, Kraihamer brings invaluable experience to the Czech-based RTR Projects squad, which enters the 2025 season with a three-car effort, including another KTM and a Mercedes-AMG GT2.

The 2025 season will kick off in Le Castellet as part of the GT World Challenge Europe support program, featuring a strong grid of Maserati, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, and KTM machines. With RTR Projects boasting a successful history in the series—including five ProAm podiums and an overall win at Paul Ricard last year, as well as the 2023 Am class title—expectations are high for the Kraihamer and Homola duo, on their return to the GT2 platform.
