Kaká Magno returns to Stock Series for sophomore campaign

By announcing her new sponsor Sancor Seguros, Brazilian racer Kaká Magno confirmed the deal extension with RTR Sport Team and will enter her second season in the highly competitive Stock Series.

Brazilian racer Kaká Magno announced she will be returning to the Stock Series in 2024, having made her debut in the main Stock Car Pro Series stepping stone last year.

The announcement was made public on a special moment – in the International Women's Day, when she celebrated with her new sponsor Sancor Seguros.

Kaká Magno will again represent RTR Sport Team, which she joined in her rookie campaign.

“I am very happy with this great opportunity in my 15 years of motorsport, a great company like Sancor Seguros embraced me in my second season of the Stock Car Series", Magno stated. "Let's get great results together! I just want to thank the entire team who have been taking care of every detail with lots of love and care.“

The 35 year old racer is one of the female trailblazers in the Brazilian racing scene. In addition to her on track career, she is in fact also an active voice on gender equality issues, and has been one of the supporters of the movement #ÉTEMPODEMULHER ("It's time for women").

The driver, originally from Curitiba, visited the Sancor Seguros headquarters, setting the stage for the partnership that she will represent in 2024.

“We launched it on International Women's Day, at the headquarters in Maringá, and I was very welcomed and valued. We know how difficult it is for us, women, to stick to our dreams, especially in a high-performance and predominantly male sport,” she commented.

Kaká Magno had a remarkable karting career, where she was runner-up in the Copa Paraná, South Brazilian Kart Championship and Copa São Paulo Interior. She has then driven across a wide variety of national series, including South American Formula 4, Mercedes-Benz Challenge, Formula Inter – before heading to Europe, where she entered the Italian Sport Prototype Championship and represented Brazil in the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games.

Moving back to her home country in 2023, Magno had a learning season in the highly competitive Stock Series: she collected good points, started from a reverse grid pole and consistently battled in the top-10; with 174 points to her name, she was ultimately 11th in the standings - and will return in 2024 aiming for more improvements.

Magno has been hard at work to work on the pre-season preparations, including physical, technical and mental training, as she gets ready to tackle the 7-event calendar.

"Even though there were ups and downs, I believe that last season served to get to know the championship better" – she commented. "I’m sure this year we will be more prepared and will fight to get on the podium".

At the wheel of the #25 machine, Kaká Magno's season in the Stock Series is set to get underway at Autódromo de Interlagos, São Paulo, on 19-21 April.
