Iron Dames announced their 2025 European Le Mans Series lineup: Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy, and Célia Martin will be driving the #85 Porsche 911 GT3 operated by Proton Competition in the LMGT class.
After the announcements for FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA, Asian Le Mans Series, Iron Dames revealed its drivers line up also for the upcoming European Le Mans Series, where the magenta #85 Porsche 911 GT3 will be driven by Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy and Célia Martin.
The Iron Dames car will be operated by Proton Competition, who had already run their ELMS campaign in 2024 in Porsche machinery, while Iron Lynx continued to operate the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 in the other competitions.
The all-female squad are now set to switch to the Porsche platform across all series, with Manthey Racing running their FIA WEC efforts for the first time.
The trio returned to European Le Mans Series in 2024 after a one year absence, and were protagonists of a strong season despite some setbacks that eventually hampered their title assault in the final round. A technical issue at the season opener in Barcelona took them out of contention after leading most of the race, then an ill-timed safety car denied them victory at Le Castellet.
The win arrived at Imola, with a stellar performance by all drivers and a heroic final stint for Gatting gaining them the top step of the podium. An unfortunate incident at Spa Francorchamps was then another setback, with a penalty also hindering their Mugello run. The team was on course to win the season finale at Portimao, when a last lap strategy allowed the sister to claim the championship. Iron Dames nevertheless secured 4 pole positions, two podiums and 65 points, securing fourth in the standings.
With Sarah Bovy being re-categorized to Silver for the 2025 season, Célia Martin was promoted as the new bronze-rated driver after a highly positive GT3 rookie season in the Michelin Le Mans Cup - and the French racer will partner Michelle Gatting and Rahel Frey in the FIA WEC championship.
Martin will then team up with Gatting and Bovy for the Asian Le Mans Series - as the Belgian racer tackled her first season as a Silver-rated driver. This same line up will therefore drive the Iron Dames Porsche in ELMS, in the LMGT3 class.
At the Daytona 24 Hours, opening race of the IMSA Sports Car Championship, Michelle Gatting, Rahel Frey and Sarah Bovy will be joined by Karen Gaillard for the iconic endurance race in January.
