Heather Hadley is gearing up for her third season in the Mazda MX-5 Cup, this time joining Hendricks Motorsports after honing her experience and racecraft over the past two years in the thrilling racing series, which kicks off at Daytona.
The Mazda MX-5 Cup is globally synonymous with pure racing spectacle, as the American championship consistently delivers some of the most exciting and closely contested races in sports car competitions.
However, the series is not just about breathtaking action—it also serves as one of the most valuable developmental platforms for young drivers. Competing on this highly competitive stage, which runs as part of the IMSA support schedule, offers drivers a unique opportunity to grow their skills in a world-class environment.
American racer Heather Hadley is set to return for her third season in the Mazda MX-5 Cup, joining Hendricks Motorsports with the aim of achieving top results and leveraging her on-track experience.
In 2022, Hadley earned the $75,000 scholarship for an outstanding female driver, awarded through a competitive shootout, and quickly made her mark in her rookie campaign. Competing in the ultra-competitive Mazda MX-5 Cup, she adapted quickly to the car and consistently battled in the crowded midfield on some of North America's most legendary racing circuits.
Heather achieved several Top 10 finishes and is now prepared to fight for the championship with her team. She will be joined by three other full-time female drivers on the grid, as well as an additional female competitor announced for the Daytona opener, all aiming to also win the Mazda MX-5 Cup's extra prize money awarded to the best female finisher in each race—an initiative designed to promote female participation in motorsports.
Hadley began karting at the age of nine, and her passion for racing has only grown since. Over the years, she has raced a variety of vehicles, winning multiple championships, with a primary focus on Legend Cars since 2019, with her adaptability proving crucial to her progress.
As the fresh winner in the U.S. Legend Cars series, Heather brings newfound confidence to the 2025 season. The Mazda MX-5 Cup will feature seven rounds, beginning at the iconic Daytona International Speedway on January 22–24.
The series will then move to the street circuit of St. Petersburg as part of the IndyCar support schedule, followed by races at Barber Motorsports Park, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, VIRginia International Raceway, and Road Atlanta to conclude the season.
@FNAF Games, It's great to see Heather Hadley gearing up for her third season in the Mazda MX-5 Cup with Hendricks Motorsports! Her development over the past two years has been impressive, and I can't wait to see her perform at Daytona and other tracks.
