ART Grand Prix is the second team to complete its 2025 F1 Academy lineups as Aurelia Nobels is confirmed for her second season at the French team, alongside previously-announced Courtney Crone and Lia Block.

Nobels, 18, is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy and will retain title backing with Puma for her second season in the all-female championship on the F1 support package.

“I’m thrilled to announce I will be continuing my journey in F1 Academy with ART Grand Prix in 2025,” said Nobels. “Partnering with Puma is an incredible honour and I’m grateful for their belief in me. I’m ready to embrace the challenges, push boundaries and make 2025 unforgettable!”

Nobels became the first Brazilian F1 Academy driver in 2024, in her third season in single seaters after competing in multiple programs in 2022 and 2023.

After a successful karting career in Brazil as well as internationally, Nobels made her F4 debut in 2022 in the Brazilian F4 championship, scoring points for the first time on her third race weekend, in Interlagos. She added a P9 and a P8 finish at Velo Città, before moving full time to Europe. In her rookie season, she also had appearances in Danish F4 as well as Spanish F4.

The Brazilian/Belgian driver then became the winner of the 2022 senior category of the Girls On Track - Rising Stars initiative, which gained her a spot in the prestigious Ferrari Driver Academy in 2023. As part of the Prancing Horse young driver roster, Aurelia contested the Italian F4 and Euro4 campaigns under the banner of Prema Racing: she marginally missed out on a point scoring result at her debut in the hugely competitive championship, but her season was also affected by some accidents and wrist injuries at Misano and Monza.

At the end of her first season within the Ferrari Driver Academy, Nobels was confirmed as part of the program and announced her move to F1 Academy, as part of the ART Grand Prix line up. Her season was off to a promising start with seventh at the season opener in Jeddah, then returned to the points at Zandvoort, where she scored a seventh and a fifth place - her personal best in the series to date.

Representing the Puma brand, she scored more top-ten finishes at Lusail, Qatar, and at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, finishing 12th in the drivers' standings.

Alongside her F1 Academy commitments, she contested select rounds in Euro4 Championship, F4 UAE, F4 Saudi and British F4 in 2024 - scoring her maiden podium finish in F4 at the Lusail round of the inaugural F4 Saudi Arabian championship.

Nobels is now set to continue her F1 Academy journey with ART Grand Prix - and is one of the five returning drivers so far announced for the 2025 season. A total of 12 drivers out of 18 full-time seats have so far been revealed - with fellow FDA member Maya Weug also confirmed.

The 2025 season is scheduled to get underway in Shanghai, China, on March 21-23.
