Emely De Heus to make Porsche Carrera Cup Germany debut

After a promising 24 Hours of Dubai, former F1 Academy racer Emely De Heus will make her full-time GT racing debut in 2025, joining ID Racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.

Former F1 Academy racer Emely De Heus is set to make her full time GT racing debut as she joins the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup grid in 2025, having signed with ID Racing.


De Heus, 21, contested the last two seasons of F1 Academy and represented Ford Red Bull in 2024, finishing eleventh in the drivers' standings.


The young Dutchwoman made her single seater debut in 2021, racing in the Spanish F4 Championship with MP Motorsport. In her rookie season, she claimed the female trophy title and scored a top-10 as personal best.

In 2022, she was selected for the all-female W Series championship - and she scored points on debut at Miami.


With the demise of W Series, De Heus returned to F4 machinery and contested a partial campaign in F4 UAE, with the aim of preparing for her F1 Academy debut. She in fact returned to MP Motorsport for the inaugural season of the all-female F1-promoted series: after her first pole position, Emely scored a career first victory in single seaters in Barcelona, on the third round, then returned to the podium in Zandvoort with a runner up finish.


De Heus continued in F1 Academy in 2024, as part of the Ford Red Bull sponsorship in a MP Motorsport entry. Her sophomore campaign however was more challenging and hindered by more technical issues; nevertheless she scored points on seven occasions, with a personal best of fourth at the final round in Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi.


With the series' rules preventing drivers from returning after two years, De Heus made her GT debut at the 2025 Creventic 24 Hours of Dubai, joining WS Racing at the wheel of a BMW M4 GT4. On her very first outing, De Heus impressed and made remarkable progress over the weekend; while running in the GT4 class lead, however, De Heus saw her race ending prematurely midway through the race when the car caught fire.


De Heus however had demonstrated great pace and adaptability - and she will now tackle her first full season of GT competitions as she joins ID Racing for the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany season.


"I am very excited to race with ID Racing this season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany" - Emely commented. "This is my first season in GT cars, and I am super excited to learn and grow throughout the year."


The German Porsche one-make cup series is one of the most competitive national Carrera Cups worldwide, and has traditionally produced notable sports car talents.

The 2025 season will consist of eight double-header rounds, supporting FIA WEC and DTM.

The season opener is scheduled at Imola, Italy, on 18-20 April, before rounds at Spa Francorchamps and Zandvoort.


The series will then head to the iconic Norisring street circuit, and will then race at Nürburgring, Sachsenring, Red Bull Ring and Hockenheimring, which hosts the season finale on October 3-5.
