American racer Chloe Chambers, currently fourth in the F1 Academy championship with a race win and three podiums to her name after five rounds, became the first driver to be confirmed for the 2025 season, as she will join the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme.

The Red Bull Academy Programme and Ford Motor Company teamed up for the first time at the start of 2024, and will continue the title partnership in 2025.

Chambers, currently representing Haas F1 Team in a Campos Racing entry, will therefore wear the Red Bull Ford colours in the all-female series in her sophomore season.

“I am thrilled to be driving for the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme for the upcoming 2025 season", Chambers commented. "As an American driver, it is an honour to team up with an iconic American automotive company like Ford. It is a privilege to be partnering with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme to continue improving female representation in the sport, and I am grateful for the support to achieve my own career goals in motorsport."

Chambers has extensive single seater experience, having made her F4 debut in the 2021 US F4 Championship, where she collected a top ten at Mid Ohio. She was then selected for the 2022 W Series season, where she teamed up with Jamie Chadwick at Jenner Racing in her first campaign in Formula Regional machinery. She scored points on her first weekend, with a tenth place at Miami.

Chloe then made history in Formula Regional Oceania Championship, where she became the first woman to win a race, dominating race 2 at Taupo from pole position.

At the same time, she also collected crucial experience in sportscars, as she took seven race wins, eight podiums, seven pole positions and five fastest laps in the CGT4 class of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America series.

In 2024 Chambers made her return to formulas, signing with Campos in the Moneygram Haas F1 Team-sponsored car. She immediately proved to be one of the front-runners and secured a podium in Miami, then two more podiums including a race win at Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona, establishing herself as a contender for the top-three in the championship.

Certainly one of the quickest drivers of the series in her rookie year, Chambers is now set to return to F1 Academy in 2025 aiming for the title - and will do so in Red Bull colours.

"Everyone at the Team is looking forward to welcoming Chloe to the Red Bull family where she is a key part of our line-up for the 2025 F1 Academy season", said Christian Horner,  CEO & Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing. "Welcoming an American driver that has previously been linked to Ford, marks an exciting progression in our partnership with Ford Performance."

Chambers has in fact previously raced in the IMSA Ford Mustang Challenge, in a guest entry at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in the series' first ever round.

Chloe will be back behind the wheel of the Mustang Dark Horse R car at this week's season finale, held in conjunction with the Indianapolis 8 Hours.

"I am excited to take part in the Ford Mustang Challenge this week and to have more opportunities to race outside of my role in F1 Academy", Chloe added. "My focus for the rest of the year remains on delivering performance with Haas, but I’m looking forward to the next chapter in 2025 with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme.”

The Red Bull Academy Programme will continue to focus on fostering young female talent in motorsport, and this partnership is a step towards this long term mission.
