With two more podium finishes in Barcelona, Carrie Schreiner wrapped up her GT Winter Series season on a high note, securing third place in the GT3 championship standings, once again battling through adverse conditions to achieve a strong result.
Having made her return to GT3 at Valencia following her single seater stint, Schreiner was immediately on pace and secured her first class victory, making great use of her experience on her return to Lamborghini machinery and with Konrad Motorsport.
It was however a more challenging round in Motorland Aragon, when changable weather conditions made for tricky races and an engine issue for her Lamborghini Huracan early in the weekend complicated things for the young German driver. Nevertheless, Schreiner completed a clean first race and made up for the setbacks by adding a podium to her resumé.
Coming into Barcelona for the season finale, Schreiner aimed to end on a high, starting from pre-event testing, which already saw mixed weather conditions.
In a qualifying session marked by cold and extreme weather, Schreiner secured seventh on the grid for Race 1 with a lap time of 1:52.103—placing her fifth in the GT3 class. The track was dry at the start, but a light drizzle began shortly before lights out, though not enough to warrant rain tyres.
For this race, race control introduced a split-start format, separating GT3 cars from the Cup-class vehicles. This ensured a cleaner and safer start. Schreiner attempted to gain positions on the outside of Turn 1 but was boxed in. Further overtaking opportunities were halted by an early safety car due to a Porsche stranded in the gravel.
During the caution period, the race was declared wet, but all teams remained on dry tyres.
After the restart on lap 4, Schreiner kept up with the pace of the leading pack but struggled to convert her attacks into overtakes.
Ahead of her, the Schubert BMW, Orange Racing McLaren, and razoon Porsche engaged in a fierce battle, slowing down the field behind them. Schreiner managed to keep the gap to the leaders at just one second until lapped traffic disrupted her rhythm. Falling slightly behind, she eventually crossed the line in seventh overall and fifth in class.

For Race 2, Schreiner had qualified fourth overall with a time of 1:44.388, securing third in the GT3 class. The race started under wet and cool conditions. Unlike Race 1, no class split was implemented, and instead of a traditional start, the field began under the safety car to help generate heat in the tyres.
However, the treacherous conditions led to multiple accidents. A particularly severe incident saw a Mercedes GT2 break through a concrete wall, prompting a safety car and, later, a red flag for barrier repairs.
When the race resumed with just seven minutes remaining, the pressure across the field was immense. The SchnitzelAlm Mercedes, positioned behind Schreiner, was in contention for the overall championship and attempted to pass her aggressively. Despite multiple contacts from behind, Schreiner remained composed, and instead, the Schubert BMW overtook the Mercedes.
One lap later, the Schubert BMW also managed to pass Schreiner and pull away. In the final laps, she significantly improved her pace, closing the gap to 1.2 seconds but ultimately ran out of time to reclaim fourth place. She finished fifth overall and third in class, securing yet another podium finish.

In the final race of the GT Winter Series, the Konrad Motorsport machine once again started from seventh. Rain returned, meaning no class split for the start. The opening lap was relatively clean, aside from the SchnitzelAlm Mercedes spinning at Turn 1.
On lap 2, Schreiner overtook the Orange Racing McLaren at Turn 1 and set off in pursuit of the Schubert BMW. She attempted an overtake on the next lap but was forced wide over the kerbs when the BMW defended aggressively, losing momentum on the uphill section. While unable to stay with the leading group, she maintained a two-second gap ahead of the McLaren.
Midway through the race, several cars—including the #700 Aston Martin and #8 Lamborghini—were penalized with drive-throughs for leaving their designated starting lanes too early. Meanwhile, the #198 Ferrari came to a halt on track, triggering a safety car period. The #700 Aston Martin attempted to serve its penalty under the safety car, but as penalties cannot be served during neutralizations, the team failed to clear the infraction.
After the restart, the penalties reshuffled the standings, promoting Schreiner to third overall and second in class. On lap 17, Schreiner handed the car over to teammate Danny Soufi.
However, a pit stop issue cost the team over 10 seconds, allowing the #700 Aston Martin and the #67 Cup-class Porsche to get ahead. Soufi struggled to close the gap but eventually managed to pass the Porsche on lap 23.
Further up the field, the Schubert BMW received a penalty for an overtaking maneuver under yellow flags, gifting Konrad Motorsport another position. This put them just one spot away from the podium.
Their chance came when the #700 Aston Martin was handed an additional penalty for incorrectly serving its original penalty. As a result, the Konrad Motorsport Lamborghini moved up to third place—both in class and overall.
With this result, combined with her previous podiums, Carrie Schreiner secured third place in the GT3 championship standings, successfully capping off her GT Winter Series campaign.
Fittingly, on International Women's Day weekend, Schreiner once again demonstrated that women belong on the racetrack, proving herself more than capable of competing at the highest level. After an intense weekend of racing, she now looks forward to some well-earned rest at home.
