Carrie Schreiner celebrated an impressive comeback to GT3 racing and to Konrad Motorsport with two class victories and a runner-up finish at Valencia, on the third round of the 2025 GT Winter Series.

After a break from GT3 racing, Carrie Schreiner returned to the team with which she won the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Series in 2018—Konrad Motorsport—and kicked off her new season in the Lamborghini GT3 with two class wins and a second-place finish in GT Winter Series at Valencia.
After focusing on the F1 Academy last year, Schreiner is set to return to GT3 in 2025, and her preparation for her next campaign started in GT Winter Series with a familiar team. She in fact joined the grid at Circuito Ricardo Tormo at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO I operated by Konrad Motorsport.
She previously competed with the same team in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Series in 2017 and 2018, though in different machinery. The practice day was therefore dedicated to getting accustomed to this car.
As her familiarity with the car grew, so did her performance: "I know the team well from the past, and it’s nice to be back," Schreiner stated. "Both in the team and in GT3. I’m a GT3 driver and I’m happy to be able to drive it again, even though it was a good experience to drive in the F1 Academy.“
In qualifying for the sprint races, the young German secured fifth place overall and third in her class for the first race, with a time of 1:33.780. For the second race, she qualified sixth overall and fourth in class.
“I’m gaining good experience here", Carrie said. "Yesterday was the first time I drove this car properly, but I was able to gain some good experience and I’m getting better with every lap", she explained. "Things are going well now and I’m happy to be back here."
The start of the first race was already a challenging one; when the lights went out for the rolling start, the battles began immediately down the main straight. Schreiner was boxed in between multiple cars and lost a few positions as she was cautious into turn 1. However, the real drama unfolded at the back of the field, when several Ferrari Cup cars collided, crashing into the pit wall and ricocheting back onto the track.
Due to the accident, the race was red-flagged. Fortunately, all drivers were unharmed, though three Ferraris were eliminated early from the race.
Since the incident occurred before all cars had crossed the starting line, race control decided to restart the race behind the safety car, reverting to the original starting order. This allowed Schreiner to regain her P5 overall starting position.
Once the field was released behind the safety car, Carrie was quick to attack the SchnitzelAlm Mercedes ahead but initially had to slot back behind. The Cup4 Lamborghini No. 79 behind her attempted a dive bomb move and briefly got ahead before running wide in Turn 1, allowing Schreiner to counterattack. The two Lamborghinis went wheel-to-wheel through the next corners before Schreiner finally secured the position in the infield and set her sights on the Mercedes once again.
After 20 minutes of racing, Schreiner closed in on the Mercedes, which ran wide in Turn 1, allowing her to pass without resistance. The Mercedes then lost control in Turn 2 and slid into the tyre barrier, triggering another safety car phase.
Following a restart with just four minutes remaining, Schreiner couldn’t quite keep up with the overall front-runners but finished fourth overall and second in her class, securing a highly deserved runner-up finish on her GT3 return.

For the second race, Schreiner started from sixth place overall. Another incident at the start saw two cars collide ahead of her, with one spinning into the path of the oncoming field. The #270 Comtoyou Aston Martin and Schreiner’s class rival from SchnitzelAlm were among those caught in the chaos.
Neither of the two could continue, prompting another safety car intervention. Schreiner, forced to take evasive action, dropped to eighth overall but remained second in class due to her rival’s retirement.
A fierce battle then ensued with the GT3 Poland Lamborghini from the Cup4 class, lasting several laps. Before she could overtake the Cup4 Lamborghini, Schreiner took the class lead when the #700 Aston Martin suffered a suspension issue and slowed down. As her group of cars caught the struggling Aston Martin, Schreiner seized the opportunity and made her move.
Seventeen minutes into the race, she finally passed the Cup4 Lamborghini with a clean move at Turn 4. Once through, her gap to the competition widened, and she rapidly caught up to the Cup1 Ferrari Challenge group, reducing the gap by nearly a second per lap.
As she worked her way up to fifth overall, another safety car phase ended the race two minutes before the finish. The #198 Ferrari and the #32 Lamborghini had collided, with the latter coming to a stop on track. The Ferrari also struggled to continue.
This premature race end secured Schreiner her first class victory of the current GT Winter Series, crowning a remarkable return to GT competition for the young German.

For the endurance race in the afternoon, Schreiner teamed up with Danny Soufi, with the 26-year-old former F1 Academy driver taking the start. From P5 overall, she got away well, but a collision at Turn 2 between a Lamborghini and a Ferrari forced her to take evasive action, dropping her to P6 overall. However, as the involved cars continued, the race remained green.
That changed soon after when a Ferrari got stranded in the gravel between Turns 8 and 9 following contact. The safety car was deployed, and the restart came with 42 minutes left on the clock. Schreiner immediately battled with Heyer in the SchnitzelAlm Mercedes, a duel that was settled when Heyer went deep into Turn 2, allowing Schreiner to make a successful pass.
Back in P5 overall, she chased a Ferrari Challenge competitor ahead.
As the pit stop window opened, most teams came in for the driver change. Both SchnitzelAlm and Konrad Motorsport stopped simultaneously, but the SchnitzelAlm’s crew emerged ahead.
Soufi, now in the Konrad Lamborghini, quickly set about closing the gap and regained the position within a few laps. Soufi then focused on catching the class leader, the #700 Aston Martin. He reduced the gap significantly, but the Aston Martin was pushing hard to maintain its lead, ultimately exceeding track limits too many times and receiving a 10-second penalty.
Soufi managed to shrink the margin just enough for Konrad Motorsport to inherit the class victory. Additionally, their third-place finish overall secured them an overall podium across all classes.
Schreiner’s performance throughout the weekend demonstrated that despite her single seater stint, she has not only retained her GT3 skills but also added new strengths to her racing repertoire.
While satisfied with the weekend, the Saarland-native is satisfied but still sees potential for development.
"I am very satisfied with my comeback in GT3, of course there is still a lot of room for improvement, but with two class wins and an overall podium in the endurance race you can definitely be happy,“ she told us. "And above all, the work with the team, with my teammate, went well and I am excited to see what we can still achieve together.“
The next round of the GT Winter Series will be held at MotorLand Aragón from February 27 to March 2, where Carrie Schreiner and her team will look to build on their strong start.
