Stepping up from the Jamie Chadwick karting series, American rookie Caitlyn McDaniel will make her car racing debut with Fox Motorsport in the 2025 GB4 Championship, joining teammate Holly Miall in the team’s first all-female lineup.

Fox Motorsport is set to field a fully-female team in GB4 Championship, as the team welcomes Caitlyn McDaniel as the second driver for the 2025 season, with the series entering an exciting new era this weekend at Donington Park.
The UK-based American will make her car racing debut alongside teammate Holly Miall, marking the team's first all-female driver pairing.
Born in Virginia, USA, Caitlyn moved to London with her family four years ago. She took her first steps in motorsport last April in the all-female Jamie Chadwick karting series, where she became a regular top-six finisher by the end of the season. McDaniels then got her first taste of Fox Motorsport’s GB4 machinery in a wet test at Snetterton in November and has since continued to build experience in the new Tatuus MSV GB4-025 car.
“I’m really excited to start my single-seater career with Fox Motorsport this weekend", McDaniels said. "GB4 is a fantastic entry point for a driver my age who wants to learn and develop in a closely-matched field against a lot of drivers with a similar level of car-racing experience."
"Our original plan had been to test here and then race from Oulton Park, but after Thursday testing we felt it would benefit me to be in the car all weekend and really learn how the GB4 event works from start to finish. We’ll be taking things one step at a time and aiming to move up the order as the season progresses and develop my racecraft.”
For the 17-year-old, an added incentive this season will be the €50,000 prize awarded by series promoter MSV to the highest-placed female driver, intended to support a potential step up to the F1 Academy - which has helped the full time debut of Alisha Palmowski this year.
The 2025 GB4 season kicks off at Donington Park on April 5-6 and consists of seven triple-header weekends alongside the British GT Championship, concluding at Brands Hatch on October 4-5.
“We’re delighted to bring Caitlyn into the GB4 race team for the full season to join Holly", Fox Motorsport Team Principal Paul McNeilly added. "She’s done very well in testing when you consider she’s started from absolute zero and hadn’t even sat in a go-kart this time last year."
"Even from the Media Day test to today she’s gained seconds a lap on some of the other drivers. There’s obviously a lot to learn, but she seems to have adapted well to the preparation work we’ve done together so we have a lot of confidence that she achieve some good results as the season goes on and her experience grows.”
McDaniel is the fifth female driver announced on the grid, alongside with returnees Ava Dobson, Megan Bruce and rookies Holly Miall and Lily-May Watkins.
